Sophie Co. was founded on and is currently based on Country of the Eora Nations. We reflect on the oldest living culture and those who came before us; their innovation, their wisdom, their ecosystems and their undoubtable intelligence, heart and spirit. These amazing digital collages were originally created as Visual Affirmations. Here's a little about how they came to be.
In March 2020 Sophie wasn't able to travel abroad to make her best friend's special birthday due to the coronavirus making it's big entrance over in the Southern Hemisphere. That night Sophie felt called to create an image that would serve as a visual affirmation for her bestie. The idea was that the image would hold all of the positive affirmations she intuitively knew would help breathe space and peace during this time. Through the digital collage design process, Sophie followed her heart when it came to choosing pieces that would impact on her friend's heart. And so it was.
The Sophie Co. digital art collages become a visual affirmation that holds special phrases. Affirmations are sayings that you can repeat to yourself every day whenever you like. Having these affirmations in an image offers the strength of the phrases in an instant. Having the image on your phone screen or laptop means that the energy is with you where ever you need it. The energy transmuted through these designs will give you the boost, the calm and the joy you need in that moment. And especially so in times when you feel you don't have 'time' or don't actually feel like saying affirmations for yourself.
